Pari Goyal
National level Rhythmic Gymnast

About Me
I am Pari Goyal, aged 17, and currently enrolled as a senior student at David Thompson Secondary School. I am part of DT mini school program known as Odyssey, situated in Vancouver. My journey as a National level Rhythmic Gymnast began at the age of 4, and I have now dedicated 13 years to this passionate pursuit. Rhythmic gymnastics holds an unshakeable place in my heart; it encapsulates my life's essence.
As a proud member of the 2023-2024 Canadian Team, I have achieved remarkable milestones. In the previous year, I had the privilege of being a part of the Senior Group National Team( 2022-2023). Representing Canada at the esteemed World Challenge Cup in Romania stands as a highlight in my journey, and I am particularly proud to hold the distinction of being the first South Asian athlete in rhythmic gymnastics to represent Canada on the global stage. Furthermore, my dedication to excellence over the past four years has been showcased through my role in the Canadian High Performance team.
Rhythmic gymnastics has molded me into the person I am today, and I am eager to continue my journey of growth and achievement in the sport.

My coat of arms represents me in many ways. The country in the middle is in the shape of Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean island where I was born. Trinidad and Tobago is coloured as the flag of Canada since I have citizenship of both countries, which makes me unique. I replaced the maple leaf in the middle with a gymnast. The maple leaf is a symbol of Canada, and my symbol is a rhythmic gymnast. Rhythmic Gymnastics means everything to me, which is also why I added the Olympics logo; someday I wish to achieve something and get the reward for all my hard work. The gymnast silhouette is not only red to represent the Canadian flag, but also to represent the love that I have for this sport.
